Brian Alton

Brian Alton has more than 20 years of successful financial and operational leadership experience with entrepreneurial technology firms, including start-ups, high-growth and turn-around companies. He has initiated and completed over $90M in VC and private equity financings; multiple acquisitions and divestitures; and identified, negotiated and closed numerous strategic alliances.

Currently, Brian Alton serves as a Managing Partner at Vspeed Capital and as the CFO of Fortress Solutions. Prior to co-founding Vspeed Capital, he was the CFO for SensorLogic, a cloud-based service delivery platform to support the development and deployment of M2M (machine-to-machine) applications that was sold to Gemalto. Previously, Alton was CFO at RipCode, a leader in transactional video transcoding which was successfully sold to RGB Networks.  In addition, Brian served as a CFO consultant for multiple venture-backed start-ups, including Ignite Technologies and Tango Networks, and was the CFO of Cyneta Networks, a wireless data infrastructure company that was sold to Inet Technologies (now Tektronix).

Prior to joining Cyneta, Alton was president of the Restaurant Solutions Group of Ez2get.com where he was responsible for the development, sales and support of several software products used by the restaurant industry. He previously was president and CEO of IntegraTRAK, Inc., a specialty telemanagement software company located in Bellevue, Washington. During his tenure there, he played a key role in achieving growth in sales and operating profits that led to the successful sale of the company. He has also been a commercial loan officer with First Interstate Bank of Oregon and the CFO for Brightwood Corporation, a large wood products manufacturing company in central Oregon.

Brendon Mills

Brendon Mills is a Managing Partner for Vspeed Capital, LLC. For over 23 years, Mr. Mills has served as a serial entrepreneur, investor and CEO in the communications and web-based technology market. He has been involved in multiple venture-back technology start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies during his career in both venture capital and private equity markets.

Mr. Mills founded venture-backed General Bandwidth, Inc (now GENBAND) in 1999 and led the company as CEO/President until 2005. In 2006, Mr. Mills founded RipCode, Inc., a video technology company based in Dallas and Austin, Texas that focused on the deployment of mobile, three-screen video delivery. In 2010, RipCode merged with RGB Networks, a Kleiner Perkins and Accel backed video technology company based in Sunnyvale, California. Mr. Mills has held previous positions with RGB Networks, Cisco Systems through its acquisition of NetSpeed in 1998, Dell Computers and NetWorth, Inc.

While working as Managing Partner of Vspeed Capital, Mr. Mills also serves as CEO of Fortress Solutions, a portfolio company of Vspeed Capital and a leader in the telecommunications equipment repair and refurbishment market. Brendon holds four US technology patents with five patents pending and he holds a B.A. degree from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.
